It’s rare these days that rappers put out albums with a similar sound as their mixtapes but for the better, Future went against the grain and did exactly that. Future gained a lot of momentum with his two previous releases in the year, (56 Nights and Beast Mode) but ‘DS2’ turned any remaining non-believers into believers. This entire album was the anthem for the summer, it got to a point to where if you were riding in a car with someone and DS2 wasn’t playing, you were seriously questioning your relationship with that person. “I just fucked yo bitch in some Gucci Flip Flops” we’re literally the first words on Future’s ‘DS2’, which pretty much sealed this as the best album of 2015. but there’s going to be enough reading you guys are having to do so i won’t bore you with a long intro. future went with the flood the market tactic & drake with more of a subtle approach. things we know for certain is future & drake dominated the game.
